Our project began in 1994 with the aim of offering our clients a pleasant place where they could enjoy a memorable
meal accompanied by good wines and a friendly top quality service.

La Vieja Bodega enjoys a privileged geographical situation. It is located in Casalarreina, one of the most interesting
villages in La Rioja thanks to its civil and religious architecture, its beautiful scenery along the banks of the Oja River,
and its proximity to other cultural and tourist places of interest.

In La Vieja Bodega the enjoyement of a good meal can be rediscovered in the atmosphere of any of these enchanting
nooks.


Each dining room has its own flavour and ambiance.
There are 2 large but cosy dining halls, with high beaming ceilings and stone walls, and also two private dining rooms,
both with a fireplace.
The fifth dining area is a glass-fronted terrace with its views of the garden and a hearth around which to relax after a
satisfying meal.
The total capacity is approximately 220 diners.

The restaurant offer other intalations as follows: two wine caves dating from the 17th century, gardens and children's
playground, easy access for handicapped clients, spacious parking facilities.

Kitchen design has been thoroughly studied in order to make it functional, safe, optimally hygienic and comfortable for
our chefs. A large window by the terrace enables clients to watch the preparation of dishes.
They aim to use local produce of the highest quality. They like to give their clients the chance to enjoy carefully selected
Rioja ingredients, giving the traditional dishes a modern touch.

Special mention for wines and cellar; two deep underground cellars of ashlar stone, called "calados" in La Rioja, keep
wines under optimum conditions of humidity and temperature.
They also have a climatized wine room in one of our dining rooms where the wines are on display for clients.
There's a selection of over 200 wines resting in their cellars. Each type of wine, label, denomination of origin, have been
carefully classified.
