The first time we came only to get acquainted with the city, we spent three unforgettable days there.
In the mornings, we did the obligatory tours, albeit at our own pace, and later we had lunch at a gourmet
restaurant, which surprised us again and again by its original creations of regional foods.
The afternoons were completely different. First we would observe the advance of twilight in the Albaycín district; next we
would go to the spa, and we would ask ourselves why we had not come there the day before. We left so relaxed and with
our minds so clear that after having supper on the courtyard, listening to the water in the fountains, all it seemed to us
different and still more wonderful. We could not avoid spending a third afternoon in the spa, and then we leisurely enjoyed
a poetry reading held at the hotel.
We decided that when we came back to ski in Sierra Nevada, we will come back to stay at the Hospes Palacio de los Patos,
since we knew that that would be the best treatment after a hard day on the slopes. And, in the future, surely, in some other
summer, we come here again: to have a city like Granada so near to the sea is a privilege that one must take advantage of.
Hospes Palacio de los Patos represents a suggestive combination of two buildings looking at each other in complicity: it is the
careful restoration and conversion of a classic 19th century palace of industrial architecture, catalogued as a Cultural Heritage
site; and a new building, a mixture of depths and transparencies behind a majestic and subtle alabaster lattice window.
The hotel offers 42 exquisitely decorated rooms and the select cuisine of the Senzone restaurant, based on the natural quality
of local produce and game. In addition, there is also the Bodyna Spa, a space devoted to sensation and the deepest well-being.
Bodyna Spa & Wellness
An authentic oasis right in the centre of a vibrant city. Located in a spectacular 19th century palace, combined with a new
building whose innovative design was inspired by the play of shadow, sky and views that epitomizes to the charismatic city
of Granada.
The Bodyna Palacio de los Patos has areas for massages and spa treatments, as well as a sauna and a steam bath. Of special
interest is the covered swimming pool-jacuzzi, whose roof is the glass base of the garden fountains, creating a unique space
of light and movement that is simultaneously stimulating and soothing.
