I felt as though if in some way I was staying in history itself: the stone walls of the old Dominican convent, the original
arched ceilings, the authenticity of the architecture, constantly recalled the past for me. But its modern decorations
changed the setting into not just an eclectic space, but one situated at the limit of the present.
I went up to the roof, not to take a swim or to enjoy a drink, but to have a first and true encounter with the historical
centre of Alicante, which unfolded at my feet. Nevertheless, soon, perhaps because of fascinating views, I decided to go
